Me and My Bp

Me and My Bp is a community prevention programme to reduce the incidence of high blood pressure among people from an African and Caribbean background in Coventry.

The programmes aims are:

• Improve awareness and causes of high blood pressure
• Reduce the risk of high blood pressure
• Encourage screening
• Improve the health and quality of life for the African and Caribbean community in Coventry
• Early intervention to reduce mid and long term cost to the NHS
• Encourage community members to be responsible for their health care by providing them with the right information to make informed choices
